First, we went to Kahneeta with the Knight/Seehawer clan and rented 3 tee pees. They were fabulous, huge inside so lots of room for stuff. There was a great swimming pool for the kids, golfing, relaxing and we even got to see a traditional native american salmon bake and dancing. A very easy "camping" trip and so fun to see all the cousins together...8 now!
The second trip was to Fishermen's Bend near Mill City / Detroit Lake with the Kelley/Knight/Johnson/Badua Clan. We rented a couple of cabins and spent most of our days in the sun. It was HOT but near the water was nice and cool. We went fishing on the canoe and took turns in the kayaks. A nice time to visit and soak up some much needed rays!
