Of course we brought a camera, but forgot to take photos until the very end but hey at least we did! These are my good friends from college, Charla and Amy. The last time we took a weekend away was pre kid and even pre marriage for Amy so needless to say, too long ago. We had a great time in Lincoln City shopping, eating and just hanging out. The weather was perfect on Saturday and Amy treated us to Breakfast at Tiffany's playing on her DVD in her new car on the way down to the beach; what a treat! So much has changed for us all since college days, seems like a lifetime ago. But time away with friends is so refreshing, it makes you look at yourself in a different way, check in, and most of all miss the family you so wanted a break from.

I have a friend named Charla and have never heard of another one until now. Must be a more common name than I thought. By the way, I love the pictures of the kids. They are so adorable. It is funny how siblings attach names to each other. We were opposed to calling Declan "Deck" but that's what Maya calls him so it is beginning to grow on us.
